ANS Student Conferences

One of the Student Sections Committee's duties is to choose the host sites for ANS Student Conferences.

The Student Conference Manual[PDF] is your guide to preparing to host a student conference. Applications are due by March 1st each year for the following spring's conference. Email your application proposal to ssc@ans.org.

The conference site is chosen on or about April 1st. Judging is conducted using two documents as a guide: page 5 of the conference manual (linked above), and a judging spreadsheet (download here). Both of these documents are used as GUIDES ONLY, which means that the judging committee will consider all factors listed in the documents but may not go with the numerical winner on the spreadsheet if there are features of the proposals that the judging documents do not cover.

Good standing of student sections is also taken into account in judging.

Winning proposals from past years are included below; we highly recommend that you review them before submitting.

You can direct questions at any time to ssc@ans.org.
