Travel Grants

DIA is committed to encouraging underrepresented persons to enter and flourish in the field of nuclear science and technology. In fulfilling this commitment, DIA will provide travel compensation of up to $1,000 for current underrepresented student members to attend either the ANS Annual or Winter meetings

The application is open to current student members of ANS who identify with underrepresented and historically excluded groups. Previous receipt of Professional Women in ANS (PWANS)/DIA travel funding, though not a disqualifying factor, will be taken into consideration.

Requirements

Must be an ANS student member. All underrepresented students are highly encouraged to apply, including but not limited to:

  • First Generation College Attendees
  • International
  • LGBTQ
  • Students of Color
  • Students with Disabilities
  • Veterans
